After 25 years on the high street, this traditional shoe cobbler had become an iconic part of the town centre. They are known for their high quality shoe repairs, however they were missing out on the younger demographic who were buying new items through online retailers. With this in mind, they wanted to reposition their business by selling exclusive footwear and designer clothing whilst retaining their core services and existing customers. Since the business hadn’t changed their branding for over 25 years, they were feeling a little stuck in the past and needed a refresh that would elevate them into present day.

After our initial discussion, it was clear that I needed to create a brand identity that acknowledges the shops heritage whilst also appealing to a younger audience. This was achieved by creating a stylish identity that is influenced by luxury streetwear branding. It was crucial for us to respect the shops history, so we restored and simplified their original colour palette so that it had more vibrancy and continuity across digital and print.
